OPILE Single pile axial and lateral analysis
In November 2006 Cathie Associates SA/NV released OPILE. OPILE is a
program to analyse single piles that are subjected to axial, lateral
and torsional loads, displacements and rotations. It suits the
particular requirements of the offshore geotechnical engineering
community, but also provides a valuable analysis capability for all
kinds of piles. The features include:

Calculation of axial capacity according to many different (industry
established and contemporary) methods, which can be augmented with
complementary axial and/or torsional response analysis.
Lateral response analysis with all commonly used PY curve methods and also allowing for user defined methods.
Soil resistance to driving calculations according to various methods. Pile self penetration during installation also calculated.
The user friendly interface makes clear which data is required and
automatically prompts for missing data during input and analysis.
OPILE is very easy to learn to use, but just in case… Context sensitive help is available to give you immediate answers.
Easy comparison of different axial capacity methods in order to select a design capacity.
Load/ displacement boundary conditions that can be applied in multiple
places anywhere on the pile (suitable for jacket/subsea frame piles,
anchor piles, conductor analyses etc).
Reports automatically generated in Word and Excel enabling easy reporting and checking.
A restricted Demo version is freely available which may be used to
review all of the analysis results within OPILE without needing a full
license
